Officer Brown, I am a world away and heard the news of your death. Eventhough I dont know you I know what you stood for. You will be revered as a hero in my eyes as I have lost friends to this profession and they are all heroes in my book. I will say a prayer for you and your family that you will find peace and your murders will be brought to justice. Godspeed.

I AM A WARRIOR
by Jon F. Hooper

I fight not for glory or fame,
For they are momentary.
I fight for those who can't.
I fight for Justice.
I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden.
And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets,
For I serve to protect the innocent.
It matters not where or when,
For evil knows no boundaries.
Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny,
I will not flee.
Justice is my weapon.
Faith is my shield.
Hope is my armor.
Cry not at my passing,
For it was my Honor to fight for you.
Shed not tears of sorrow,
But tears of joy,
For now,
I stand with God.

Your watch has ended when mine has just begun. May your brothers and sisters with the St. Louis Police Department take solace in knowing that you will continue their work upstairs until you meet again.

Rest in Peace, Brother.

You will be truly missed. I did not get the opportunity to ride with you and learn for you. There is one thing I do know ; you did the same thing as every other district officer does and thats patrol the streets. Tonight you gave your life doing just that and I thank you. My deepest prayers go out to your family and your platoon. As well as the whole SLMPD.
