Reflections for Police Officer Norvelle Brown

Brother Norvelle, you have served God and his children in St. Louis very well. Although your tour of duty here is finished you are beginning His tour of duty on the golden streets of His kingdom in heaven, along with all our brothers and sisters who have gone before you and will come after. One day we will all will join you on that patrol beat and be blessed to be in God's presence and to be united with you and those there with you now. Farewell my brother, God speed, peace to all your family.

My prayers go out to the family, police force, and community. He died serving his community and country;therefore heaven is rejoicing. To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. May God comfort you all as the days go by.
God Bless,

To the Mother of Norvelle may God touch your heart and ease your pain. I know no amount of words can take the ache of losing your son away, but know that God is sitting right next to you waiting for you to put your head on his shoulder. May God bless everyone who was touched by Officer Brown.

It's great to wake up this morning and hear that the suspects have been caught. I know it's not easy for your family, friends, and fellow officers, but justice will be served.

One less good man has left our ranks. His calling in a profession that is sometimes thankless. He died doing what he liked to do. He paid the ultimate sacrifice to his community and state. Even though your tour of duty was short, it meant so much to so many. 10-42, your have served us all very well.

I happen to at the Barnes transporting a patient from Springfield,Mo when this event took place. I found out later that Officer Brown had died. I have many friends that are police officers and would be devastated if this were to happen to one of them. Officer Brown's death was such a senseless killing. May his famiy and co-workers find peace and justice. RIP.

Never a stranger just a friend I have not met.

I am deeply touched by the senseless violence that you tried to keep out the neighborhood that you lived in! How dare do the persons that committed this senseless act upon you be able to ever show their faces in this community again!

You were and always will be the man, son, uncle, and HERO that others only wished they could attain. One year on the force and the impact that you have made in the community will always be CHERISHED!

May God bring your family, co-worker's, friends, and the St. Louis community the strength to continue your mission of trying to keep the streets safe.

We had a very good teacher in you Norvelle!

May you rest in peace in The Kingdom of Heaven!

I did not know the officer but this is very sad .My husband is a Firefighter in the United States Air Force and he said when he get out of the Air Force he wants to become a Police Officer and I told him I was not sure of him becoming one.Since this has happen I have made up my mind that he is not going to be one. What happen to this young officer who was 1 year younger than my husband and I is very sad.Every time I read more and more about this tragedy I get sadder and sadder.I start to cry because it is so sad that people in this world are so stupid and do stupid things like this. That officer was just doing his job trying to provide for whomever he had to and look what happen and I hear they were young children too.My prayers goes out to Brown Family.God is on your side.

The SLMPD lost a great young officer in Norvelle Brown. He was a type of officer who would come back to the Bureau and always inquire if we were looking for someone, always willing to give and offer assistance to any officer.

Norvelle is a true example, and testiment to this "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD".

To Mrs. Allie Brown and Family God Bless You all from the Home of the REAL POLICE!

WHEN I HEARD THE INITIAL REPORTS ON THE TELEVISION THE OTHER NIGHT, MY HEART SANK. I PRAYED OVER AND OVER "PLEASE GOD NOT AGAIN, NOT ANOTHER"...IM SO TIRED OF THIS. OVER AND OVER AGAIN. ANOTHER FUNERAL, ANOTHER LIFE TAKEN AWAY, ANOTHER GOOD OFFICER GONE.
TO OFFICER BROWNS FAMILY, YOU SHOULD BE SO VERY PROUD OF YOUR SON. YOU RAISED A GOOD, STRONG, BRAVE, GENEROUS YOUNG MAN WHO HAD SO MUCH TO OFFER AND MADE SUCH A HUGE IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY IN SUCH A SHORT TIME.
IM HEARTSICK THAT THE ONES THAT DID THIS WERE TEENAGERS. JUST SICK. GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF THEM.
OFFICER BROWN, WE WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT AND WE WILL NEVER EVER EVER FORGET YOU.
