The clock of life is wound just once
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour
Now is the only time you own
Live, love, toil at will
Place no faith in time
For the clock may soon be still.

Brother Nick Rest In Peace.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived - Tibbets

I am a fellow police officer and the Dad of a Univ of Notre Dame student. On behalf of my fmaily and the Manchester (NH) Police Dpeartment, may I extend our deepest sympathy. We lost a brother to gunfire in the line of duty last October. The suppot of others from across the country meant a lot. I hope knowing that you are honored and remembered in NH helps you in some way.

It takes a very special person to be a police officer, its not a job for just anyone. I pray for all the Fallen Officers and their families. I pray for the safety of all Law Enforcement, may God always be by their side. They are all brave courageous men who put their lives on the line every day to protect us. They are true hero's who live life with honor, and are those who are never forgotten. To the Corporal Polizzotto and his family: My prayers are with you all and Nick was a true hero who will be missed, but never forgotten. Here is a special poem I dedicate to Corporal Nick Polizzotto:

"We remember the officers who changed our lives,
The men and woman who protect us day and night,
People who respect for their dedication to the cause,
For when faced with danger, they never even pause.

We remember the officers who always stood true,
Whatever the color of uniform, brown gray or blue,
With pride and integrity they say “To Serve and Protect”,
For the giving of their life, we offer our respect.

We remember the officers who we never really knew,
Persons strong enough to answer the challenge are few,
With heavy hearts we mourn the officers in eternal rest,
There’s more to these people than the badge on their chest."

I was saddened to see the articles on the death of another police officer. My regards to his families, personal and working. Perhaps the rest of the year will not be as deadly to those that protect and serve.

“Hey Buddy!” That is how Nick addressed his friends whenever he saw them. I know this because he was my friend and neighbor. I would see and talk with Nick on a daily basis. As a great friend Nick was a very kind, respectful, and tender hearted person that would do anything and everything he could for those he cared about.

This morning was no different from any other morning when the news makes mention of an officer being shot. The first thing my wife and I would do is look out our window to make sure Nick’s squad car was home. If the squad car was not out front we would worry and give Nick a call on his cell phone, which he always answered, “Hey buddy, I’m okay.” as he new my wife and I would be checking up on him concerned for his safety and wellbeing. Today, my wife called a couple times and we did not hear that deep voice say “Hey buddy!” Moments later the news went to breaking news and named the officer shot as we hoped and prayed that our buddies name would not be next. However, today was different and our hearts sunk.

May your family, friends, and neighbors remember you forever as we shall never forget you and how you watched over us each and everyday of our lives. For all of us you were always on duty.

“Take care buddy…”

Love, your neighbor Jeff, Cassie, Joey, & Caitlyn (The McGrew’s)
