Reflections for Police Officer Gary Frank Skerski

Gary Skerski.
You were a police officer, a son, a husband, a father, a friend and an uncle. We couldn't be more proud of you. I think of, and pray for you and your family everyday. Robert and Nicole miss you dearly.. Nicole says that she doesnt want to cry because you always told her to be strong. The family has gotten together alot scince you were taken from us and ever time were together we tell stories of want a one of a kind person you were. We know that you were looking down on your funeral on May 12th, probly just laughing at the big fuss everyone made over you....but you deserved every bit of it. You will never be forgotten.

Holding you and your family in the Light, as Quakers say. Thank you for making the ultimate sacrifice to keep the community safe. We all do know that working in the Philadelphia Police department can be very dangerous, and we appreciate that you felt moved to work in this city.

Brotherly love surrounds you now as your soul transforms into whatever the Creator has in store for you next. We know that you are not really gone, just changed, and that you are still learning, growing and affecting the lives of other people, just as you did while you were here on this Earth.

Please know that there are many people looking out for your family in our prayers, our thoughts, and in our daily actions. We also want to make Philadelphia a safer community in which to live and will always remember what you did to keep us safe from those who are controlled by their base compulsions, addictions, and greed.

With deep respect and admiration for what you gave to your community,
