Reflections for Police Officer Robin G. Vogel

Robin,
Next week is your birthday which brings back so many wonderful memories of you as a little girl. How you used to love to sing and dance to the moogit (what you called music). You were such a delightful child and grew into a most amazing woman. We talk about you often and all the accomplishments you achieved in your short time with us. You are missed so much. You are in my heart always.

I know you are still with us, in our hearts every day, protecting us you are our guardian angel
Every time I hear this I think of you.

Without you, the ground thaws, the rain falls, the grass grows.
Without you, the seeds root, the flowers bloom, the children play. The stars gleam, the poets dream, the
eagles fly, without you. The earth turns, the sun burns, but I die, without you.
Without you, the stars roar the breeze warms, the girl smiles, the cloud moves. Without you, the tides change, the boys run, the oceans crash. The crowds roar, the days soar, the babies cry, without you. The moon glows, the river flows, but I die, without you.
The tears dry, without you. Life goes on, but I’m gone. Cause I die, without you.

I miss you everyday!

Robin,
Just thinking of you as softball has started up once again. Wishing you were still here as you were a force to be reckoned with both on and off the field. I miss riding with you and miss your humorous way of dealing with people I had to transport. Keep watching over us all. Thanks for all you did and all you continue to do!

this really effects me a great deal because if you think about it the few fire fighters out there that have served along these officers are the bravest. seeing this makes me stop and think. im a cadet on the fire dept and have heard stories of deaths like this but this is bad. we all need to work together and help stop this.

Today is National Law Enforcement Memorial Day, on this day I salute you for your bravery and dedication to law enforcement. I know the daily struggle your loved ones go through thinking about you and this senseless loss. Continue to watch over them, wrap your wings around them to protect them and help them with their grief. You have not been forgotten.

I just finished reading all the reflections and feel like I
have found a new friend. She was quite the character!
Two officers with the Seattle P.D. were killed in 2006 in
this same manner. Makes my blood boil! Robin truly was an inspiration and made a difficult job fun! I know
her friends and family have wonderful memories to
remember her by and that each of you carry her with you in your hearts each day. She reminds me of a few of the other fine women officers I have met on this site like Molly Bowden and Julie Jacks and Vicky Armel. My hat is off to all of you!! You did not die in vain and made
a real difference in the lives each of you touched. God
bless all who mourn!

Robin,
Just thinking of you and missing you. Had a scare yesterday when my partner and I were involved in a 10-50. Was that just a wake up call from you to let me know I was getting too relaxed? Point taken. Thanks for looking out for us.
Still missing you everyday!

Robin,

The second Christmas without you and it is just as hard as the first. Watching the young children in the stores with their parents brings back so many memories of you as a little girl. It is still so difficult to celebrate the Holidays knowing that one person is missing from the picture. You are in my heart always. Loving you and missing you.

Robin,

I am remembering how you helped me in FTO. Your guidance and example were essential with helping me through training. It has been a year and you are missed. Third shift will never be the same.

Robin, I just wanted to let you know that you are not forgotten. I think about you a lot and miss the 4am phone calls to shoot the breeze. I was awarded another MADD Heroes of the Highway award this year and I dedicate it to your memory and remembered you as the ceremony talked about the victims of drunk driving. You will always be remembered, keep looking over us.

It has been one year since your tour of duty ended and I know the tears still flow from those that loved you so much. There has not been an hour of each day for the past year that they have not had thoughts about you, you have not been forgotten nor will that ever happen. People say it was an accident, I disagree because somone chose to drive a vehilce while they were intoxicated. My son was also killed by a drunk driver while on patrol. So many lives are affected that are left behind and so many broken hearts that have to deal with each day dawns. Watch over your loved ones and those still out on patrol. You are a true hero and will never be forgotten.

Dear Robin~
You are thought of everyday, but especially today. We miss your smile and wonderful love of life. I wish we could hop on a plane and go back to Vegas.
I know you are beside GOD watching over all of us here, keeping your officers safe.
We raise our glasses (souveniers from the dinner we shared at Ballys/Las Vegas) to you....
You are in our thoughts and hearts forever
