Trooper Parkers actions were not done out of heroism, just a sworn officer of the state of SC doing his job in an attempt to law another individual whom thought they were above the law. I personally pray that this individual gets what he deserves. The entire law enforcement community sends our prayers to the wife and family or Trooper Parker. God bless you.

Losing you effected more people than you could have ever known. It reached all the way to Northwest Georgia and beyond. It was not in vain though because of the numerous lives out there that were changed by your actions. Rest in peace knowing you will never be forgotten.

To the Parker family, my prayers are with you. May you find some peace in knowing that Jon was following his calling, doing what he loved. Years ago, we somehow ended up on scenes together, and I was always impressed by his obvious dedication and professionalism.
Jon, thank you. You will never be forgotten.
To all SCHP, thank you for what you do every day. Your law enforcement family is keeping you all in our prayers right now.

It was a little less than a year ago that I found this website, the day after Eric and Jason were shot...since then, I come and read the stories of all of these officers that have passed, most from some sensless act of some coward...Trooper Parker's death is no exception.

To the family of Trooper Parker...you are not alone...while you are mourning, the rest of us are mourning with you. Find comfort in knowing he is with God, watching over you and keeping you safe.

To the Police family, we here in Phoenix know all too well what you are going thru...honor your friend, mourn for your friend, but again, take heart in knowing he is with God, and that while he was here, he was a light in so so many lives...

Our prayers are with you all...

Trooper Parker, you are 10-7 sir...goodnight

Jon, you will trully be missed in Sumter. I know the public, and fellow brothers and sisters in law enforcement will never forget you. I trully enjoyed talking and working with you. You were great trooper, and a great person. I will never forget the last time that i spoke with you Jon. I saw you at the Mag Office and you were wishing me good luck on my new job. I was totally shocked of the news after my first day at the BOP. To all your family members and close friends you are in my prayers and thoughts. Even though you are 10-42 on here you are 10-41 in a better place full of great people just like you Jon. Rest In Peace Brother.
