Jose Angel Nava

Border Patrol Agent Jose Nava was involved in a single-vehicle accident in Kinney County, Texas, on his way to conduct a train check at 10:00 pm.

He was driving on Farm-to-Market Road 1572 approximately 40 miles east of Del Rio when his department vehicle struck a deer, causing him to lose control. The vehicle overturned several times and Agent Nava was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:40 a.m. on January 7th, 1995.

Agent Nava had served with the United States Border Patrol for eight years. He was survived by his wife.
