Reflections for Master Police Officer Peter J. Lavery

I had the pleasure of meeting your sister at a COPS event and learned of your sacrifice. Thinking of you and your family...wishing them comfort from their treasured memories. RIP MPO Lavery.

Peter,
It's hard to believe that it has been 7 years since you were taken from us. You are thought of often as well as every time I ride my bike, your name is on the Police side of my First Responder tribute bike. We miss you on the 9/11 Ride, but know you are with us in spirit.
God Bless you Sir.
Thank you for continuing to watch over us all.

Pete, thought I’d take a minute to say hello.
I don’t think a day goes by that I don’t think of you.
I have gotten to know your family a little better over the years.
I know you where always so proud of them. And I know why.
Riding is not the same. Miss them long rides, talks and cigars in VT,
NYC and where ever we would meet up on the road.
I’m not going to talk about the fine Irish whiskey that evaporated from our glasses.
Just want to say, I miss you Brother.
Until we meet again,”Ride With the Wind”.

I attended your benefit ride today, Sept 18, 2011. It was nice to see the huge turnout for the ride including all the citizens who came out of their houses to show support.

RIP MPO Peter J Lavery. Can't believe that it's been 6 years. You are a true blue hero for those in LE and those pursuing a career in LE, including myself. Thank you, sir, for all that you did in Newington and in Berlin. I wish that I got to know you as an officer, because you are the reason why I want to be a police officer.

It is 6 years today since you gave your life to protect the citizens of Newington from a violent criminal. Rest in peace, you have earned it.
