Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Brandy Lyn Winfield

Brandy, you were always a stand up guy who thought of others. You lived and breathed Policework and were doing what you loved.

I will always remember fondly our time together in the Explorers and in the Academy. You always had a smile or a sarcastic joke.

Goodbye and God Bless, you made all of us who knew you better people.

Deputy Kevin Ullom
Delaware County Sheriff's Office, Ohio

Good Bless and rest in Peace Deputy Winfield.
It is always hard to hear that our brothers and sisters are being killed out on the streets as they try to do their job or serving and protecting.
The family, friends and fellow officers of Deputy Winfield will be in my prayers. Stay strong.

At the beginning of every shift I supervise, myself and the other officers on shift dedicate the day to the memory of a fallen officer.

Today, October 17, 2004 we dedicated the shift to the memory of Deputy Sheriff Brandy Lyn Winfield who died in the line of duty just three days ago.

When one law enforcement officer falls, we all stumble for a while, but we will carry on.

Deputy Winfield's sacrifice will never be forgotten.
