My prayers are with Rondey's family as well each and every one of the Greene Co. Sheriff's Dept.
Rodney was loved and will be missed by all.

We have a great crew here and proud of all, our hearts were broken when the news came to us.

May God watch over all Law Enforcement ... they are so sadly miss used by evil people and they go out and do so much to help and protect the very ones that will and do them harm.

If we can be of any help to the Davis family or the Greene Co. Sheriff's Dept. never think twice to call on us.

Thanks to the ones such as Rodney and his brothers in uniforms... we have yet another day, rest now and let your brothers carry on.
In Christ and His love,

Our Heartfelt sympathy goes out to Kim and her children during this tragic time. Everyone involved was deeply effected by this. Rodney paid the ultimate sacrifice. It takes a special person to be a police officer, and even more special person to be an officers wife. May God comfort you and provide you with the strength needed at this time.

I WAS ON DUTY THE NIGHT RODNEY DIED. I HEARD, WHAT WOULD BE EVERY DISPATCHER'S AND FELLOW OFFICER'S WORST NIGHT MARE. WHEN I HEARD " SHOTS FIRED, SHOTS FIRED, OFFICER DOWN " . I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO GET THOSE WORDS OUT OF MY HEAD. YOU NEVER THINK THIS WOULD HAPPEN IN A LITTLE COUNTY LIKE GREENE. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO RODNEY'S WIFE, CHILDREN, AND TO EVERYONE WHO KNEW AND LOVED HIM. HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS A HERO, AND WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN IN OUR LITTLE COMMUNITY. REST IN PEACE, RODNEY

Every weekend for what seemed like an enternity when we were younger, Rodney and I would go to Busch Gardens and have a blast together. We would ride the same rollercoasters over and over until we could barely stand. As we grew up, we attended different High Schools and over the years, we simply lost contact. To find out now, under these circumstances, what he's been up to all this time is nothing short of tragic. I attended his memorial service and I was amazed to see all the lives he touched since we last had contact. We were childhood friends and now that he's gone, I can't help but feel a deep loss for not knowing him as the man he grew up to be. To his wife and children, I offer my deepest sympathies. The world is certainly smaller without him, but Rodney's memory will live in our hearts forever.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of another hero. He touched many lives, directly and indirectly, that will never be the same without him. Heaven needed another hero, and he answered the call. He will love and protect his family from Heaven, proudly showing them off to other angels. May we one day be honored to shake the hand of a true American hero. Goodbye and Rest in Peace, Sergeant Davis.
