Lorin Blakley James

Game Warden Lorin James drowned when he fell out of a boat in Pleasant Hill Lake in Richland County.

He was assisting another Wildlife Division employee set test nets near the south shore of the lake when he fell overboard. He was wearing heavy clothing and hip-length boots at the time, which dragged him under the surface.

Game Warden James had served with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for six years. He was survived by three sons.
