Patrick Joseph Pollock

Officer Pollock was shot and killed during a foot pursuit of an armed robber. He and his partner were eating lunch when a call came of an armed robbery across the street from the restaurant. The officers observed two suspects run out of the business and gave chase. Officer Pollock chased one man into a residential area. As Officer Pollock ran through an opened gate the suspect ambushed him and shot him in the head. The suspect was then shot and killed by Officer Pollock's partner.
Officer Pollock had been with the agency for seven years and was survived by his mother and brother.

I think of you often Pat. I enjoyed working a car with you in District 2. You were a good partner. Today, for the first time since your death I finally was able to listen to the entire radio room recording of that day when I dispatched you to the call. It grieves me to this day. Rest in peace.
