Breaks my heart to hear this. My sympathies go out to his family and fellow officers. My husband is a K9 officer- can't imagine what they must be going thru. So glad the subject was "taken care of". Sending strength and peace.

I am a resident of Glendale AZ and I read this story this morning. My first thought was for Ronin's human partner, how he must be hurting more from the loss of Ronin than from his injury. Thank you, all of you, for being willing to give your lives to keep us safe. Thank you Ronin, you did exactly what you were taught to do, and unfortunately, in this case, it meant giving your life for your partner.
