Magnum

K9 Magnum was euthanized after being shot in the face two days earlier while pursuing a bank robbery suspect.

The subject had fled into a bean field during the pursuit, and Magnum was released into the field to find him. He was shot in the face and suffered a critical injury that he could not recover from.

Magnum was the second Anderson Police Department canine to be killed in the line of duty in a three week period.

On February 5th, 2013, the subject who killed K9 Magnum was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
