Rest in peace Patrol Deputy Agy.

To say, "I miss you Dad.", is a gross understatement. I know you are just as popular in Heaven as you were here on Earth...so many friends, so magnetic. At 32 and a parent, I can finally grasp some of the lessons you taught me and see the value in them. Specifically, since my kids are "typical boys" aged 6 and 2...where has the time gone?! You taught me the finer points of playing with army men, racing remote control cars, your love of American muscle cars, building robots, you taught me to shoot well and how to bait my own hook while fishing. Aside from all of that, you always had amazing foresight and wisdom. Thanks for showing me how to roll with the punches. It serves me well as a parent. I love you, Dad. Happy Father's Day.

To my Uncle Will, even though you were my Uncle I always thought of you as my brother. I think of you often and I miss you and Steve. I always wanted to be where ever you two were and do what you two were doing. My dad was very proud of you. I hope you and Steve and my dad are together and laughing like you 3 did when you were together.

Sixteen years have gone by since that horrible night, and still my memories of you are as fresh as yesterday. I miss you, Will; your sense of humor, your guidance, and most of all, the feeling of security I had when you were working with me. Whenever I called for back-up, you were always there it seemed, ready to assist. If you showed up, there was no need for any other back-up. I pray that one day, they'll catch the two cowardly murderers. Rest in peace, my brother. We have the watch.

I was thinking of you, Will, on your birthday today; you would have turned 61 this year, and you'd probably still be catching bad guys. You are always in my heart and mind, as you look down from next to St. Michael, helping him keep watch over all his charges.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the fourteenth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Unfortunately, no matter how well trained or competent the officers are, every day on the job is a day of peril. Within the last three weeks 4 brave officers from Oakland, CA and 3 brave officers from Pittsburgh, PA have been murdered by thugs wielding AK-47s.

How brave are each of our true American heroes who face danger each day he or she pins on thier badges to police our streets so that our communities may be safeguarded.

To Will's family: I hold you in my heart's embrace today. Ali, your father must be very proud that you continue to heal by giving back to other survivors. Thank you for all the good work you do.

Officer Agy was a damnd good cop. He didn't harrass. He listened and cared. Dayton is poorer since the loss.

It was a very sad day when we lost Will Agy. He was an excellent policeman and appreciated by all of those who knew him.

Wil...My brother in blue I was not honored to know you before you were taken from this life but I glad a friend of mine [Frank] showed me the way to reflect on the man you were. In reading all the reflections from friends, fellow officers and especially from your daughter, Ali, I can't help but feel I have come to know a little bit about you. There are many words that seem to describe who you were including Brave, Loyal, Hardworking, Persistant, Loving father and family man...just to name a few. You are an honorable man and one to be remembered forever!

In God's eye's and in our Christian hearts we may forgive the person who committed this horrid act but we all know that his day of reckoning will come around and justice will finally be served.

You are remembered and honored by many including myself.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice!

And thank you to your family, department and friends for sharing their love of you.

...may God continue to hold you close as a protector in heaven to stand guard over all of us down here!

Brother Will,
It is hard to believe that it has been almost 18 years since you changed Duty Stations. It seems just like yesterday we all were cuttin up and laughing about the day to days on our shift. Remember the call about the woman you got walking down 90 in nothing but a pair of cowboy boots? Of course the curiosity got the best of everyone on duty that nite till you came across the radio warning everyone to run the other way!! lol.. Brother, there is not a day I am sure that you are not thought of fondly by so many that you have touched. Thank you for watching over us all Old Man. We miss you Brother.

Someone cared enough to direct a stranger to your page, but to grieve for any officer is to grieve for all. Let us hope that along with our prayers for those who know you and still survive with all of their pain intact, that justice will be done in your case here on earth. It is well that your sacrifice is not forgotten and still inspires us.

Almost 14 years have gone by since the loss of Wil Agy. Neither years nor tears make the loss any easier for his family or his friends. Remembering Wil and his sacrifice reminds us to value those who are the best of us... those who put on the badge every day to protect us from a world now turned upside down. May God hold Wil and his fallen brothers and sisters in His tender care and may God protect those officers who go out in the world to protect us still.

I was in the Liberty County Sheriffs Department lobby the other day and saw Wil's portrait again. I was with a co-worker, someone new to the area, and I explained to this person what had happened to each of the three fallen officers whose portraits hung there. In our conversation, I added some personal thoughts and memories about Wil and about Wil's family; about how dedicated to him they were and he to them, about how his death still impacts my heart, how funny he was, how soft his heart was. My co-worker spoke after awhile, saying how it was a wonderful thing to be so well thought of, how when an Officer dies in such a tragic way that persons that do not know the Officer generally do not see him/her as a person with a family and personality but "an officer". Wil was a good guy, he and I shared many a laugh and long talks and I still miss him.

Just checking in with you, Will. It's fall and I think of the fun we had during this season; cool nights and all the crooks we could handle. I miss you, your humor, and most of all, your guidance. Watch over us, my brother.

I was thinking of you today and the great times we had during the late 60's. I remember playing in the band with you, Steve, and the rest of the guys. Just a struggling garage band playing in grandma Yak's basement. I remember the nights we used to play at the RGN nightclub in Toledo as well as the long trips home. I remember your fearless attitude, your love of life and your strong desire to become a police officer. I remember you leaving for a better life in Texas with Rita. I remember getting the news about your untimely passing at the hands of those criminals(may they be brought to justice). I remember all these things like it was yesterday and I always will. I know you are in Gods hands now along with other brothers and sisters of all police agencies that have made the ultimate sacrifice on the altar of justice especially your nephew Steve Yakimovich from the DPD. I remembered you today,,,,,and always. Bob

For some reason you were on my mind today. I had dinner with Frank the other day and he gave me a blue and black wrist band that says "Heroes Live Forever". So true. There have been a couple officers lost around here lately. In fact, within just a couple days of each other. It always breaks my heart to hear that news. I just wanted to let you know you were on my heart today.
