Reflections for Trooper Joseph Emanuel Dillard
Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincerest sympathies to the family, friends, and to all law enforcement in the state of Tennessee. Tennessee State Patrol Officer Dillard was killed on the day I was born. I hope that Joseph Emanuel Dillard is forever remembered with respect and dignity. I hope I will able to fill the shoes that were left empty on September 15, 1964.
Peace and godspeed to all.
