Thinking about you today. Carter (whose middle name is your legal first name) is a great little boy, whom my grandmother loves dearly. My grandmother was your granddaughter and I am taking very good care of her. She remembers the day you sacrificed for our family and it brings tears to her eyes. Someone in the family has your badge collection and I will make sure it's safe when I can find it.

Thank you for your service and giving me the strength to do the job you did. I will be honoring you on May 9 at Rose Tree Park. Hope you are there to see the beautiful ceremony Delaware County puts on for you. RIP Great Great Grandfather Horace!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the seventy-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace
