Your service and dedication will always prevail. RIP sister, we now have your watch.

Tiffany, although we never met, I feel as though I know you. I have a daughter, also named Tiffani, approx 1 yr older than you. I am also a L.E. Firearms Instructor. When I read of your passing, it touched me in a way that only a Father could understand. Everyday I wear a mourning band on my right wrist with your name on it. This is to remind me to be extra vigilant while teaching my Firearms Training Courses to ensure this does not happen to someone else's daughter.
Additionally, this Memorial Day weekend (May 26-27, 2013) I will be participating in the "Carry the Load" event in Dallas, TX. This event honors the memory of Fallen Heroes (Military, L.E., Fire, E.M.S, etc) This year, I will be carrying your memory..........

Dear sweet niece, hard to believe it has been a year since you were so tragically taken from us. We miss you and love you always.

It eases the pain to know you are in the Blessed company of the Lord and Grammie, Papaw, and Uncle Dave.

Although I did not know you personally, you were a sister. You will not be forgotten. Myself, and about 30 other officers from my outfit completed our annual firearms recertification at the very same place and time that you were taken away from us one year ago. As we did our courses of fire and practiced safety, you were on our minds.

Although I did not know her personally, she was a Corrections sister. It was this time exactly a year ago, myself in my state van amongst a parade of other white state vans and other various vehicles, were lined up to enter GDCP in Jackson to do our annual firearms recertification. It was at this time we were turned away and horrified to find out this young lady had been accidentally shot to death on the range and that it was closed. One year has passed, and today I, and about 30 other officers from my outfit, completed our firearms recertification at this range. As we did our courses of fire and practiced safety on the range, we did this in her memory. You will not be forgotten.

Tiffany,

This past weekend, I had the honor and privilege to meet and escort your family at the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation Memorial Service which was held at the National Law Enforcement Memorial wall in Washington DC.

In my eyes, you are a true hero. Look over those of us down here on earth that are still walking the beat and protect us.

Thank you for your service and commitment to your beloved profession.

To Tiffany;
Thank you for your service to the State of Georgia, to your community and to your fellow officers. Your fellow officers lost more than just a co-worker, they lost a friend. May GOD keep you in the palm of his hand next to His heart.

To Tiffany’s family and friends;
My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Remember her often and cherish that memory. She gave all doing an all too often thankless job. Please know that Tiffany has brought honor and pride to the badge we wear. Your loss will not be forgotten.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiance Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Bishop. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Tiffany she sounds like she was a great woman with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew her in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Tiffany's life and the WOMAN that she was. Remember that Tiffany's life was about so much more than the way she died. Tiffany will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember her.

Officer Bishop, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiance Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been eight & a half years and he's still very much missed and forever loved.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

A tragedy that a loving family will never forget. The Lord saw fit to remove her from this world. The dent that she has made on her co-workers, friends and above all..family will be everlasting. I am so sorry for the death of this rising star. I pray that her family is able to carry on in such a difficult time of need. My prayers and understanding will be forever in your corner. To the parents, Bishop and all other closely associated families, all the love, prayers and condolences.

There is not much I can add to everything so many have written here already. Thank you for your service. All officers everywhere will learn from this incident. That is not much condolence to your loved ones in a tragedy of this magnitude. But, I hope they take some small comfort in the knowledge that Officer Bishop will still be saving lives because the whole of Law Enforcement community will grow more vigilant to prevent similar accidents.
