Tiffany was my daughter Katie's best friend and our family's "other daughter". She was such a joy be be around. We watched her through the school years as she performed in plays and concerts at Union Grove Middle and High ScHool. Always thought that she would make the "big time" in theater. Her decision to get involved in Law did not suprise me. Knowing her, like most of us do when we get started, she was thinking she would change the world. The differene being that she would have. As parents we prayed that our kids would have that one special friend that would always be there. The one that makes good decisions, is trustworthy and loyal. In Tiffany, our prayers were answered. I wish all of you could have known her. She was a very special person with a ton of life to give. There is no telling where her life would have led. Our family will miss Tiffany more than we could ever express. But, when we look into the heavens, we will feel a sense of happiness knowing that Tiffany is smiling downg on us. That is just simply how she was...

A very sad and tragic loss. My heart goes out to all who know and love Officer Bishop and to the State of Georgia as a whole. A large void that can never truly be filled now exists for so many.

I also will be keeping the person who was ultimately responsible for this tragic accident as I know they are going through the hell of losing a colleague and knowing it could have been prevented. Accidents can happen to anyone.

God Bless you Officer Bishop and may you forever Rest in Peace, Sister.

For Probation Officer Tiffany Danielle Bishop:

Our duties in law enforcement require that we carry firearms for the protection of ourselves and the protection of others. Training in the use and handling of firearms is essential to everyone who enforces the law. Sometimes an error by either ourselves, or on the part of another, when handling firearms has devastating consequences. We regret that our sister Tiffany would be the next casualty involving a firearms mishap. Fate, apparently, has deemed it to be so.

We pray for Tiffany's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about her. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.

We are proud to render PO Tiffany Bishop a final salute.

It is sad to learn when such a tragedy strikes among our ranks. To have the life lost at such a young age cannot seem to make any sense..........and it does not. May our lord be with Tiffany, her family, her friends, and the instructor that took her life. "Blessed are the peacekeepers, for they shall be called the children of God." RIP Tiffany.
