My heart goes out to your family blood and blue. I’d love to say that I cannot imagine your loss but more than anything I can. My LEO fiancé who had also served with his DEPT for 17 years was ambushed Shot, beaten and killed on a DV call on 11/30/2016. I’m praying for strength for you In the long days and nights ahead. May god give you what you need to endure and persevere through all this. Much love Rebecca J Humphrey - Fiancé of R Jake Gutierrez, Tacoma WA PD EOW 11/30/2016

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln

My Brothers in Blue. We all know that one day we may find ourselves where Michael did. LODD
are difficult for family, friends, loved ones and comrades. Yet, we carry on, we do the best we can.
And by doing so perhaps make our little part of this world a better place. Michael has done that, he
paid the highest possible price, his life. The change he brought? Understanding from the community,
realization that a police life is just as valuable as anyone, asking themselves, Could I do what he did?
There is always hope.

Officer Langsdorf, we celebrate and honor your dedicated service here and mourn your sacrifice. To think a simple check fraud could turn into murder is unfathomable and disgusting. Check fraud was my Father's forte for many years as a Detective with my home town PD and never once encountered violence while dealing with so many scam artists. This murderer you dealt with is a special kind of evil.

So long as those who love and will miss you the most, keep you in their hearts and minds, you will never truly be gone from them.

God Bless you, Brother and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful.
