To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 58th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you.

Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Phyllis Lasater Loya
mom of fallen Pittsburg Officer Larry Lasater, eow 4/24/05

Detective Gash, it's sad that it took this long to recognize your sacrifice, but it has been recognized. I thank you for your efforts to help protect one of America's greatest assets, it's railroads. Also, thank you for helping to protect this great nation. You truly are a hero.

We can only hope that the swine who murdered you faced true justice, if not in this world, then in the next.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.
