A police officer should be remembered not by how she died, but how she lived! A great woman has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Palm Springs Police Department. Our country is much less safe without you. Rest in Peace Sister.

Rest in peace Officers Zerebny and Vega. You made the ultimate sacrifice to keep your community safe. No one can ever say enough to thank you and your family for your service.

May God bless and keep your family, friends and co-workers in this very difficult time. You served with honor while on this earth. May your family and friends know that you are now patrolling the streets of heaven along side LASD Sgt. Steve Owen (EOW: October 5, 2016) and my very good friend Officer Jonathan "JD" Deguzman (San Diego Police Dept. EOW: July 28, 2016). God couldn't be safer or in better hands than he is right now.

You are heroes in every possible sense of the word. A cowards bullet may have cut your life short on earth but the power you possess as a true hero will live on and guide those who knew and loved you for the rest of their lives.

Rest easy now my sister and brother. We have the watch.

San Diego Police Dept.

My deepest condolences to the parents of Officer Lesley Zerebny, to her beautiful baby daughter, to Chief Bryan Reyes and to her brothers and sisters of the LEO community. Today (Sunday) I will say a special prayer directed towards God's blessing of peace and protection for Lesley's baby daughter, and to provide peace in the hearts of Lesley's parents during this time period. A note to Lesley's family; I truly believe Lesley is now in Heaven where she belongs, and I know she will have everlasting peace and love. Last night I laid awake until after 3:00 AM thinking about the devastation that our country is facing, especially LEOs, so with sadness I humbly offer my suggestion to all LEOs, STOP being too PRO-ACTIVE and be the best REACTIVE you can. I say that because it's too hard to be PROACTIVE in today's environment in which LEOs are judged with contempt, and insulted with low wages that requires so many LEOs to work OVERTIME just to make an average living. Please be safe and develop new safety methods that will help protect you while in the publics eye. Remember to verbally tell yourself each and every day when you go to work " I came to work in one piece and I'm going home in one piece". Drive within the speed limits when responding to calls for your safety as accidents in another leading cause of deaths in the LEO community.
Again, my deepest and heartfelt condolences to Lesley's family, and to the Palm Springs Police Department.

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
The Lord helps them and delivers them;
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.
