Reflections for Master Trooper Junius Alvin Walker

Thank you J A for all of your years of taking care of us. I was a trooper that worked with you in Dinwiddie for about nine years before transferring over to DMV. I am greatful to have been your friend and co-worker. Thanks for teaching me things and having my back several times. May God take care of your family and ease the pain because I know he is taking good care of you. Thank you 802, see you again one day.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all the law enforcers for such a great outpouring of love, prayers and support shown to our family in the loss of our beloved J.A. Walker. Additionally, it was very touching to see so many local citizens show their respect even in the rain. You all made a difficult time more bearable. He will be greatly missed. I can see he was your brother, too.

I am 58. I just last year graduated with about 20 others in the 18th Chesterfield County Senior Citizens Police Academy held at the Hicks Rd. address by Corporal Tim Lamb.
My uncle was a Capt. A.C. Roberts on the Atlanta, GA Police force. My father was a U.S.M.C. Lance Corporal. I served 2 years voluntary in the Civil Air Patrol from '77-'79 Southside Sqdn.
We had thousands who served in the military all the way back to the Seven Years war.

I didn't know Master Trooper Walker but he reminded me of my Uncle Roberts by his demeanor and actions.

I want to convey my utmost condolences to the Va. State Patrol and especially to his family and many friends. Such a tragic loss.

Brother Rest in Peace.

Police Officer's Prayer to St. Michael

Saint Michael, heaven's glorious commissioner of police,
who once so neatly and successfully cleared God's premises
of all its undesirables, look with kindly and professional
eyes on your earthly force.

Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for
investigation and wise judgement.

Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and
law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores,
strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations.

You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences
with the devil that the police officer's lot on earth is not
always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so
pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the
devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration.

And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your
heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the
throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all
the people. Amen.

May God bless this Trooper's family and friends. No greater service is there than when one lays their life down for another as law enforcement officers risk just that daily. Godspeed and prayers for those he has left and total respect for his life of service!

How many people can say the served in Trooper Walkers capacity for 40 years, he obviously was an amazing man. Our prayers go out to his brother TROOPERS, and his Family. I hope you will all take some comfort in having known this hero died protecting all of us for longer then many of us have lived. Thank God for him and thank God they caught the useless animal that did this, hopefully justice will be served on him here as well as were he will have to meet his destiny. Stay safe my Brothers of the night.
