Our prayers are with Deputy Pill's family and fellow officers. As police officers we know that danger lurks around every corner, that is why we always expect the unexpecte, but even so, there comes a time when tragedy has the upper hand. Deputy Pill:

You gave your life doing what you knew best, answering a call like you've done every shift for 30 years. It takes a special kind of person to fight the evil on our streets. I hope you will not be remembered for how you gave your life, but how you lived and how you served your community for so many years.

Officer J. N. Taylor
Hubbard Oregon Police Department
