I'm so sorry to learn of your loss, so needless, at the hands of a coward. But now you're in the hands of Jesus, and there's no better place. Yet those of us left here feel the loss. As a mother who recently kept my own son on life support until organs could be donated, I feel for your mother, and am thankful for her making the choice to give someone else a miracle. God bless those you loved and who loved you. Thank you for your service and dedication.

Yet another brave officer shot and killed. My heart goes out to the family and I only know all to well what you are going through. My sadness turns to anger every time I read a new entry on this site. It is time that all of us in the criminal justice system redouble our efforts to arrest and incarcerate the animals who commit these acts.

"Blessed are the Peace Makers, for they shall be called the children of God". My Brother I mourn your death on this date. May God be with you and your family. The citizens of Alabama and this nation have lost one of its protectors. May justice be SWIFT and PUNISHMENT severe for the coward that took your life.

I'm so sorry about the loss of Officer Sollohub. We had an officer involved shooting four days ago, durring which Officer Jarred Slocum was shot in the head. By the grace of God he is now recovering after surgery. This is a dangerous time. My family and I pray for all in uniform. Our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Sollohub's family, as well as the men and women of the Anniston PD.

I am really sad to hear always of our law enforcement officers dying in the line of duty. Alot of people in this country have the idea oh no it's the cops... well I say to that thos "cops" are usually and will always be first responders to emergencies and disasters. When I was growing up right next door to me was a Lakewood(Ohio) police officer, nicest guy even when we would be playing baseball in my back yard and the ball would go over to his yard, he'd tease me saying Craig & guys you got to learn how to hit better and throw the ball back over. I really enjoyed living next to him & his sons and myself used to hang out together and play while we were kids. I could go on but I think I made my point... Respect everybody and it'll help you later in life, it has, I have a very high level of respect for our law enforcement officers, uniformed & undercover!
My condolences to the Sollohub family, Officer Justin is home with his Father!! Thank you for helping serve and protect us!!
