"Everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you can appriciate them when they're right, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can come together." -Marilyn Monroe

Andy- I did not know you, nor do I know your family, but my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this tragedy. Rest in peace, and I look forward to someday meeting you in heaven.

My prayers and thoughts are with everyone at this difficult time. I knew Andy while working at Macy's. One thing I will never forget is that he was always smiling and took his job very seriously. May God bring peace and comfort to all our hearts.

Officer Dunn walked the halls of Ontario School many times talking time out to talk with students who were having a bad day. I remember him taking a student under his wing that he seen in the office many times and mentoring him. He even took time out to have lunch with the student, you probably didn't realize the impact you had on him but we did. I sit in tears of what has been taken away from our community and our children of Sandusky. RIP in peace badge 2083 and you will never be forgotten.

You are among the unselfish few who dedicate there lives to ensure our freedom and safety. Words seem so weak at a time like this, the only ones that come to mind are thank you, thank you for you unselfish actions, thank you to your family who have given so much, more than most will know. Thank you to all officers who continue to stand between the filth and the citizens. God bless you Officer Dunn and you family.

I began my career many years ago as a probation officer in Sandusky. I found myself in a foot chase and needed back up. The responding officer was Matt Dunn. Fastforward many years and I am a Sergeant at the Clyde Police Department. I was presented with a new officer to train by the name of Andy Dunn. His father was there for me and I would be there for his son. I had the pleasure of taking Andy under my wing and I pray that he takes me under his now. Andy and I remained friends even though we both ended up in different departments. I will remember you always for your smile, your heart and your dedication. You were truly one of the great ones. Goodbye my friend.
