Rest in peace Officer Brown. Thank you for your bravery and service! The dictionary defines "hero" as one having exceptional courage and fortitude. This definition has never been more true for the men and woman who put their lives on the line everyday to maintain law and order and keep us from harm's way. -RF

May the Lord be with you and your family as they attempt to recover from this senseless loss. I pray that they find peace and a way to move forward as I did when my brother Deputy Rex H. St. John #106 Karnes County Sheriff Department EOW 02-29-1992 suffered this same fate. I know that he will be there to great you as you walk through heavens doors. I pray a special prayer for your daughter as she grows. I know that your family will see you in her eyes as I see my brother in the eyes of the two beautiful daughters that he left behind. There will never be words to heal their wounds only time that eventually allows them to move forward knowing that you were doing what you loved. RIP Officer Brown

My officers and I were dispatched to the wrong way driver as it sped past our city. I only wish we could have stopped it before we lost the life of one of our sisters in blue. God speed sister, youll never be forgotten. We pray for you, the people you left behind and for other victims of this horrible tragedy. I only hope the laws will stiffen for DWI related crimes.
