When I learned of this tragedy my heart ached and the memories came rushing back. My son was killed by a drunk driver while responding to a call. He too left behind a daughter(3mo.). To the father and family of this hero I promise there WILL come a day that you will be reunited with your precious daughter. In the meantime, and during these darkest of days you will be surrounded and sustained by angels both seen and unseen. Don't lose your faith and know that there is a god/ Heavenly Father that loves you and is very much aware of this 'cross' you have been forced to bear. My family and I will be praying for you and for all who was (and will continue to be)touched by Stephanie.
Sincerely, Ret. Officer Cory Figueroa and father of fallen officer Shane Figueroa (EOW 10-25-08)
