Dear C/D Roberts, god gave us you for a little while, he let you rent your stay place here but when your lease came up, he decided what was best for you. You paved your way and did the task that you were placed to do, now it is time for you to go on home and take your place beside his throne. May your soul rest and be at peace cause we all have to come home and join you. We may be sad, we may be angry, we loved you best but god loves you more. To the family and friends of Chief Deputy Kevin Roberts and his fellow deputies:

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Kevin was tragically killed in a brutal and senseless crime.

To the Roberts family, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in the Bay Area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. Kevin will always be honored and revered.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Kevin gave to his community and the citizens of Georgia as a police officer, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on November 14, 2010.

Our hearts are deeply saddened as we mourn the loss of someone who has been a mentor and a friend to so many of us. We thank everyone who has stopped by, called or if you said a prayer for us.
