Reflections for Police Officer Javier Bejar

Another hero taken way too soon...I pray for his family, both at work and at home, the peace that surpasses all understanding. Please rely on each other...you will be one another's greatest strength!

On behalf of H.M. Bailey Primary School we extend to Officer Bejar's personal and professional families our heartfelt condolences. We share in your grief as we work through our own recent loss. It is only through caring and mutual support that we will endure hardships as these. We are praying for everyone affected by these events and hope that we will all become better persons for living and sharing a most difficult time. God Bless You.

To the family of officer Bejar

My sincerest heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. I know first hand the pain you suffer as I am the mother of a 28 year old officer also shot and killed by a gunman who committed suicide. My son also left behind his new wife of two short months.

My prayers are with you.......and you are not alone. This is a tough journey, but I can tell that Javier loved what he did....started as an teen exployer. Your son is a hero and now guards the gates of heaven with my son. What better place to patrol than heaven.

Keep him close in your heart

First, my prayers are with Javier's family. Especially his mom, dad and his wife. No mother should ever have to bury their own child.

Second, i went to school with Javier since elementary and graduated with him at RHS c/o 2000. You were taken too soon Javier. may you rest in peach. it was a pleasure going to school with you and knowing you. things like this should not happen to people like you.

residents of Orange Cove and Reedley are proud of you and your name and example will live on.

to his parents: you should be proud of a fine young man that you raised.

February 25, 2010 was another tragic day in Fresno County. A coward took the lives of two precious souls that protected the citizens of this community. I want to thank you Officer Bejar for responding to help my co-workers and friends of the Fresno County Sheriff's Office. While I struggle to understand this tragedy and wish that we could turn back the clock, I know that you and Joel are with God and will rest in eternal peace. May God bless you, your family, friends, and law enforcement family during this difficult time.

My friend and brother. Growing up with you in our little town and you and Mari being our ride to the Reedley Police Explorers "Training" every Saturday, are memories I will never forget.
I will never forget when we were involved in that rollover TA on our way to Wonder Valley. I was so scared as we were rolling, I remember looking over at you and you had the biggest smile on your face. To you that rollover was like a roller coaster and to me, well, I was scared!
You were a God fearing man and always knew that God was there for us no matter what. I love you brother! May you rest in peace and know that you will ALWAYS be in my thoughts, ALWAYS! God Bless you and your family!

I was impressed the two times I talked to this fine young Officer. He made a lasting impression on me. For his devoted service to our country as a Marine Veteran and his continued service to Reedley as a Sworn Officer, I thank him for his service. As he is now posted to Service Everlasting, he will always be in my heart. There is no glory larger than giving of one's life for the protection of another. God's speed.
