Rest in peace Javier! The impact you had on our community will be everlasting. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your friends, family, fellow officers and your beautiful wife Miriam. I pray that God gives all of us the strength to get through this. You weren't just a police officer to our community. You were a son/brother/friend/hero to each and every one of us and we are all taking the loss as such! Continue to look over our community from up above with the same fervent passion you did down here. The citizens of Reedley are in agony. I've never seen anything like this in my 50 years of living here. You are loved and adored so much and I hope and pray that the community of Reedley can one day recover from this monumental loss.

Officer Bejar,

You took an oath to protect and serve the citizens of Reedley California and this great country of ours.

In the performance of duty, you made the ultimate sacrifice. There is no greater example of honor.

May your loved ones, friends, co-workers find peace.

May the citizens realize the sacrifice made by the law enforcement officers every second of every day.

Your memory lives on through you friends, relatives and our brothers and sisters of the R.P.D.

Officer Bejar! I read your obituary in this mornings paper and it left me in awe! Twenty-eight years old and you accomplished so much during your time down here and impacted so many lives. What an incredible young man. We are not a small community, 25,000+, yet, this has rocked our city to the core. We went to pick up ribbons in your honor and there were people waiting in line to get them...some came as far away as San Diego. We saw people crying on sidewalks, in grocery stores. Apparently they too knew what had been taken from our community. A hero! My prayers go out to your family, especially your young wife.

My heartfelt prayers and sympathy go out to all of Officer Bejar's family. My brother is a retired Chief of Police from a very small town in Utah. Even though we at AIMS did not meet Officer Bejar and are now involved only through this great tragedy, I can say that we all are mourning his loss. We are available for you and want to make this road as smooth as possible for you. God bless you.

TO FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND FELLOW OFFICERS OF REEDLEY POLICE OFFICER JAVIER BEJAR,
IN THE BIBLE IT SPEAKS OF EVERLASTING LIFE,
IN HIS FAMILIES HEART'S THERE IS EVERLASTING LIFE,
AND IN HIS CHILDREN, THERE IS EVERLASTING LIFE.
BUT, POLICE OFFICERS HAVE ANOTHER FORM OF EVERLASTING LIFE.
THAT WOULD BE THE LIVES THEY HAVE TOUCHED AND CHANGED IN WAYS YOU MAY NEVER KNOW ABOUT...
ALL OF THE MANY LIVES HE TOUCHED IN A PERSONAL AND PROFFESIONAL WAY. THE FEET HE GUIDED TO A DIFFERENT PATH, THE STRENGTH HE GAVE TO ENABLE SOMEONE TO LEAVE AN ABUSER OR STOP USING DRUGS, ETC.
MANY YEARS FROM NOW WHEN HIS NAME IS SPOKEN, SOMEONE WILL GIVE TESTIMONY AND SAY, "IF IT WERE NOT FOR OFFICER BEJAR..." AND THEY WILL TELL OF THE DRAMATIC IMPACT HE HAD ON THEIR LIVES IN SOME WAY, LARGE OR SMALL.
AND HIS LIFE IS TRUELY EVERLASTING.
WHILE WRAPPED IN THE AGONY OF MOURNING YOUR LOSS, TAKE COMFORT IN KNOWING HE MADE A DIFFERENCE - IN HIS LIFE AND HIS DEATH. AND MANY CRY AND GRIEVE WITH YOU FOR YOUR FALLEN HERO.

Some make this country better by serving with honor in the military, some by serving their community, but you were one of the selfless souls who flourished in their committment to service. Your family, community and country were better places from your being there. In time we hope your family's pain can be eased. Until then may they get strength from your brothers in Blue and the community around them. God bless.

Our entire community is united in prayer for the Bejar family during this time of grief and sorrow. I understand from friends that Javier was an extraordinary young man in life and in uniform. Our church, the pastors in our area, and every gathering I attend where there is prayer, have been devoting special times of prayer for his family, friends, and comrades. Blessings to you and may sweet memories prevail of his life.
