FELLOW DEPUTY IN BLUE

July 21, 2009

You only had to be in Marc's presence for a minute to realize that he was a special person that brought an incredible ammount of positive energy to any situation. He is an incredible husband, daddy and to me, an incrdeible friend. I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have been part of Marc's world and I am at a loss of how to even attempt to fill the void that his death has brought us. The pain that this loss brings is almost insufferable. God Bless all of you and Stay Safe...P.O. Rick Garrison #2663 J.C.P.D.-E.S.U.

Sir, your heroic actions will never be forgotten by your brothers in blue. You answered the life-and-death call, as many of us in uniform do at some point in our careers, and even when we do everything right, sometimes a tragedy like this occurs.

My deepest sympathy goes to your family, friends, and co-workers during this difficult time. I sincerely hope that God and modern medicine will save the other officers who were shot as well.

It is in times like these, that the toughest are tried to the point of death. Thanks to your courage, and your loyalty and devotion to your community, your department, your family and friends. May God comfort your family, friends and comrades in this time of sorrow. You served your profession well. So tragic to have a young life taken. But let it be known, that those, who each day place their lives in the line of fire and never know what each day will bring, will have a very special reward in heaven. God bless you and rest in peace.
