I don't have words to express how the loss of Officer Henry Canales will affect all those that were ever around him, family, friends, acquaintances, brother officers. He will be sorely missed but his name and memories will live in the heart of each person he touched. When I met him for the first time, he offered help where I couldn't get any. He seemed an easy going person with a big smile and an even bigger heart. Even though maybe our friendhsip was short, his memory will last forever. I wish all the love and comfort that one can send and I will have many words to add to prayer time for his family. God bless his family and him. Bless all those that walk the walk and talk the talk.

Most can not understand why we do this job, but I assure you that these reasons are never selfish. To have lived your life with courage, honor and in service of others, is a life well lived. To the family left behind, please find solace knowing your loved one has made a difference in this world and that you will again be together in paradise. Thank you my brother officer for your service and now, rest in peace.

My tears and heart go out to the family, friends, and coworkers of Officer Canales. You made the ultimate sacrifice. For that I know many people, including me, are grateful. The thin blue line got thinner when you left. Blessed are the peacemakers. May you rest peacefully in the arms of the LORD.
