To your family I can never take away the pain you feel. But I know that this was a true man. He gave all the blood, sweat, and tears and that he stood tall with no fear. To Officer Canales your watch has ended mine will soon begin. RIP brother we got it from here.

To Officer Henry Canales, to all family members and friends who call him beloved, and to his law enforcement family:

I wasa sorry to learn of Henry's death and extend my sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you have suffered. Words are insufficient to describe the sadness I feel for the Canales family. May you find comfort in your faith and the support of the law enforcement community.

There are many police survivors who share this same journey with you, and that community will be there to support you. Henry's memory will be forever honored and revered.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the distinquished service Henry gave to his community and the citizens of Texas and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on June 23, 2009.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of this HERO. You have a long road ahead of you, and it wont be easy, just know that you are not alone! I have been down that road... am still on it, and others before me. Let God lead your way and you are in good hands. And remember your Hero is in good company.
May God be with you always!
