Burt Lopez was the finest person I have ever known. I have always held him higher than high since the very first day I met him. When you speak of squared away, you speak the name BURTON LOPEZ ! The entire world will suffer from this loss in some way. That is a fact ! His values, morals and mannerisms were admired by all who knew him. He was not only a great Law Enforcement Officer, but clearly also an outstanding father and husband as well. I only find peace in knowing that he is waiting for us in a much better place. You will be greatly missed my brother ! Lets please keep his family in our prayers and close to our hearts.

Burt was a friend and a partner I worked side by side with for awhile. He was always there when I needed him. I am saddened by his passing. He was a good friend and partner. My heart felt condolences to his family and my fellow LEO Brothers and Sisters. Gone but not forgotten. Until we meet again Brother!

R.I.P. brothers, we will take it from here........I know the loss that your family will feel over the next few days, weeks, months and years as I lost my brother in the line of duty 07-09-07. The support you family will recieve from your fellow law enforcement officers will help the pain they will feel. Protect the streets of heaven until we can all see you again......
