To the Canfield Family and Brothers and Sisters of the Sacramento Sheriff's Department...

Our words can not express the sorrow for your loss of a husband, father, son, friend... coworker...just know every day citizens of the area are silently supporting you in your time of sorrow. It's never easy to lose someone, especially a family member, friend... or a hero. Take a step back, cherish the laughter, the smiles and the love and remember him as he would want you too. Cherish everything... From our family to yours, all of our thoughts and prayers.

Our condolences to Officer Canfield's family. Being part of the "motor officer family", we all know in the back of our minds that it could be any of us at any time. It is a small consolation to say that he died doing what he loved to do....ridin' hard.

Rest in Peace Brother, in the arms of the Lord. There are few officers who know the pleasure of serving on two wheels. I am one. I'm sorry you left us so soon, but when thunder rolls off in the distance, we know it is those few who have served as Motor Officers. They are still " In Service " in the Lords Kingdom.

I AM A WARRIOR

I fight not for glory or fame,
For they are momentary.
I fight for those who can't.
I fight for Justice.
I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden.
And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets,
For I serve to protect the innocent.
It matters not where or when,
For evil knows no boundaries.
Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny,
I will not flee.
Justice is my weapon.
Faith is my shield.
Hope is my armor.
Cry not at my passing,
For it was my Honor to fight for you.
Shed not tears of sorrow,
But tears of joy,
For now,
I stand with God.

Deputy Canfield, you took an oath to protect and serve the citizens of California and this great country of ours. In the performance of duty, you made the ultimate sacrifice.

There is no greater example of honor. May your loved ones, friends, co-workers find peace. May the citizens realize the sacrifice made by the law enforcement officers every second of every day.

Rest in peace Deputy Canfield we have got it from here...

My deepest condolences to Deputy Canfields family, friends, and fellow officers. I was hit and thrown from my motor just 3 weeks ago, and am still here only by Gods grace. What we do is dangerous, but we love it so. I know it is small consolation at this time, but know that he left this earth serving others doing a job he loved. Ride on brother, you wear real wings now. Watch over those of us who remain in the formation...
