Joe, every time a police officer is murdered, it is a horrific, catastrophic occurrence. Your situation, however defies description. The sacrifice you've made the last 7 years is so unfair . . . you've paid SO much. You are so honorable, such a warrior, such a policeman. Your picture reflects so much. You definitely look like the kind of officer who would be leading an FBI Task Force into the danger zone. You look strong, bright, capable. You look like a good troop, a great guy. I know in my heart you possessed all those qualities. When I hear "Chicago," I'll now think of a tough Task Force, Chicago Detective, who gave "all" and then some. I honor you Joe, your name, your service and now, your memory. I will never forget your story, your picture. I wish I could have known and worked with you. With utmost respect and brotherly love,

Jim Crotty (former Richmond, VA Police Officer).

Jim Crotty, Special agent (Ret.)
