Oh, Frank. What an inspiration you've been to so many of us. A audacious leader and a good hearted man. We'd have followed you through fire, such was your ability to lead and the loyalty you instilled. We can't follow you yet, but we'll see you in good time.
To Julie and the kids: I pray for your pain and anguish to subside. I'm so very very sorry for your terrible loss.

Brother Stecco, may you rest in peace and watch over us all as you walk your beat in Heaven.

I've had my first Christmas in Heaven,
A glorious wonderful day,
I stood with the saints of the ages
Who found Christ, the Truth, and the Way.
I sang with the Heavenly Choir,
Just think, I joined in to sing
And oh, what celestial music we brought
To our Savior, our Lord and our King.
We sang the glad songs of redemption,
How Jesus to Bethlehem came,
And how they called His name - Jesus,
That all might be saved by His Name.
We sang again once with the angels,
The message they sang that blest morn,
When Shepherds first heard the glad story,
That Jesus, the Savior was born.
O, dear ones, I wish you had been there,
No Christmas on earth could compare,
With all the rapture and glory,
We witnessed in Heaven so fair.
You know how I always loved Christmas,
It seemed such a wonderful day,
With all my loved ones around me,
The childern so happy and gay.
Yes, now I can see why I loved it
And oh what a joy it will be,
When you amd my loved ones are with me
To share in the glories I see.
So dear ones on earth, here's my greeting:
Look up, till the day down appears,
Oh what a Christmas awaits us!
Beyond our parting tears.

Four weeks ago today my family suffered the tragic death of Corporal Stephen Bunker in the Maryland State Police helicopter crash. There are no words that can be expressed to ease the pain that you too are going through. I hope you find comfort in knowing that your husband, son and father, 2nd Lieutenant Frank Stecco, is a HERO! It has helped our family knowing that there are so many people in and out of the public safety community who loved and appreciated them. God bless your family!

Frank my brother, I am at a loss for words...which is not my norm as you would most certainly have agreed with. It's still so hard to accept that you are gone. Your sense of humor and sarcasm will be greatly missed. The awesome leader and supervisor you were will be greatly missed. And the wonderful dad, husband, and human-being you were will be greatly missed.
I hope the Rainbow Bridge is as beautiful as they say it is. I know you're cracking jokes still, which gives me a little bit to smile about. God-speed....see you on the other side.

My Friend

We’ve come today to honor you
Your name upon the wall,
To tell the world that they might know,
My friend who gave it all.
It started all so innocent
To train, we thought, that day,
Only God could know the dreaded fate,
Or the price that you would pay.
Taking on the roughest waters
To learn and teach the way,
That others might not lose their lives,
Rather, save someone, someday.
A burden I’ve found hard to bear,
That you would die for me,
And give your all that we might live,
Your spirit then set free.
How can you say to one like that,
The price it was too great,
For as you died for us that day,
Your Heaven did await.
If he were called once more this day,
To do it all again,
I know he’d say,” Without a doubt,
No questions, you’re my friend.”

JOHN 15:13

THAT HE LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS"

I am so sorry and my prayers and my daughters prayers are with you and your family. Please rest easy, Lt.
