Reflections for Second Lieutenant Francis Joseph Stecco

I'd like you and your family to know you are not alone during this especially difficult time of year. May you find the strength to continue as you have through this past year and see the signs from Lt Stecco to show you he is still truly around. He will never be forgotten. God Bless

Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

To your family: I understand the meaning of lives forever altered, and know that the hurt of losing a beloved never goes away...the pain and pride are forever. I pray for your solace.

Rest In Peace, Frank.

As I sit here remembering my dear cousin and especially his wife on this day, I'm heartbroken to see that on the same day he was taken from us, Lt Stecco went with him. I'm sure they went hand in hand so they were not alone, as we, the family and friends left behind are also brought together and not alone. God Bless Lt Stecco and his family for allowing him to protect us, and ultimately giving his life as he and Officer Tome, both on the same day, died trying to learn how to keep us out of harms way. All that serve and give the ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten and forever remembered as heroes. May Lt Stecco's family know he is always with you and watching over you. I understand how much you miss him and how grateful we are all for his service and I am so sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace Lt Stecco knowing your 'blue' family will take care of yours.

Hoo-ya LT.

A Public Safety Divers Prayer

When I'm called to duty God,
To dive beneath the waves,
To search for an unfortunate soul,
Whose body thy have claimed,

Let swiftness be my virtue,
To find that soul in time,
Please let this be a rescue Lord,
And not the "other kind".
Be my eyes in the darkest lake,
And guide me with your hand,
That this person be saved,
When we return to land.

If this is not your will,Oh Lord,
Then please show me the way,
To sort out this mystery,
And dive another day.

If things become their darkest Lord,
And its me that you call home,
Please guide my freinds and family,
That they'll never walk alone.
