Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Second Lieutenant Francis Joseph Stecco

Frank, I can't believe that you are no longer with us. We've worked together for so long, it's not going to be the same without you. You were a great officer, a great man and a great friend. My prayers are with Julie and your kids, that they find strength to get through this very difficult time. We were going to have such a good time at patrol camp next year. Thanks for all the fun you brought to the job. And once more, just for old times sake............Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan?

Rest in peace. I'll see you again someday. Love ya!

Thank you for giving me the strength to move on with my life and not look back. God put you on earth to help those in need and you did a fantastic job. We all will miss you deeply.
God Bless you.

May God Grant Lt. Stecco's Family, Fellow Officers, and Friends the Serenity to accept the things they can not change, the Courage to change the things they can, and the Wisdom to know the difference. Rest in Peace Warrior.. You will not be forgotten...

For years Frank, every weekend that you worked the street you'd always stop by my woodshop and visit for a bit. You always wanted to work on a project for your home, and we always ended up doing it. And every time that I would turn around you were messing with a tool and I would tell you, "stop playing with the tools Frank before you hurt yourself".
You have no idea how empty that shop is now; or how much that I will miss you.
Do me a big favor and save me a seat next to you when I see you on the other side.
You will always be my friend!
You will always be my brother!

I already miss your humor and smile...I miss the tours of Mount Vernon and the love and excitement in your voice when you talked about your family and dog Jack. You had a way of be-friending those around you and not only were you a great person you were a dedicated officer and caring friend.

Words can not express the sense of loss I feel around me. You will not be forgotten. There is no doubt that you will keep those in heaven very entertained...

Secibd lieutenant Frank Stecco,

Your mission to the Fairfax County Police and to law enforcement has come to an end too soon, though we stuggle to understand the reason why. We do know that you have chosen an honorable profession and lived-up to the demand of being a public servant dedicated to the safety and protection of others. We regret the lost to your family, your department and to our law enforcement community as well. You were a leader and trainer who made the same of others. You gave your life in the process. This alone makes you a hero among heros.

I an honored to be able to bear to you a final salute.

Every moment sings with fascination
As silence sits behind the vivid veil.
There is no rock not rife with revelation,
Nor word that will not ultimately fail.
Likewise, we are masks upon the void,
Uncreated at our empty core,
Mirror of what cannot be destroyed,
The nothing that the thing is destined for.
The being of our being is delight;
The nothing of our nothing, pure perfection.
Just beyond our day is utter night;
Just within our heart, its blank reflection.
The gift of life brings joy well worth the pain;
The gift of death brings us home again.

Rest in piece my West Point Leadership Brother!
