It is a terrible thing when a hero is taken from his family and from the city he loved so much. Every night I pray for the officers protecting our city. My condolences to his wife and children and my prayers go out to all of you. Be strong and know that you are supported by us all.

To the wife and family of Sergeant Stephen Liczbinski, i would like to express my deepest condolences for your loss. I too know what it feels like to lose a family member in law enforcement. My brother (Late Sgt Frankie E Smith)was a 10 year veteran of the Guam Police Dept when he was killed by a drunk driver while responding to a riot on our hotel strip. I know the pain and frustration your family is going through and i will continue to pray for the family.

My heart is very sad that another brother has fallen. I offer my condolences to the wife and children that a husband/father won't be coming home today or ever more. He was taken from all of us by three scum of the earth. The extended family of the badge numbers several hundred thousand and my wish is that the immediate family of this guardian of soceity won't want for anything. Make it so Philly.

I offer my most sincere condolences...to the wife... children...parents...extended family...and friends of Sgt. Liczbinski.

It made me very sad...to read the circumstances...of this tragic act...and I hope in time...Mrs. Liczbinski will take comfort...from her husbands last words...because he left her...a very special gift...at a very sacred moment...when one is between two worlds...earthly and heavenly...and in that moment...his last thoughts...were of his love for her.

May God's perpetual light...shine upon the soul...of Sergeant Stephen Liczbinski...and may he rest...in His eternal peace...for having made...the ultimate sacrifice...in protecting and serving his community.

God bless you sir...you are a hero...and you will not be forgotten.

I pray that this family...receives all the graces needed...as they cope with this devastating...and untimely loss...during this very difficult time.

Sarge,

It was my privelige and honor to work for you. You were the epitomy of excellence to the Police Department. On Saturday, you died for all of us. I hope you know that we never left your side. For your ultimate sacrifice, please know that all of us will now in turn take care of your family; I will personally see to it. Thank you for taking care of us; thank you for your incredible leadership; thank you for the example of what a police officer, supervisor and human being is supposed to be. We have all had the benefits from knowing you.

Most importantly, thank you for all the times you backed me up and thank you for returning me home on Saturday to my children; yours are now mine......
