Dear Friend,

Words cannot explain how I am feeling right now. I am CRUSHED. You were a great Officer, always a PROFESSIONAL in your work. You wore your uniform with PRIDE, JOY. I enjoyed having you on my team at Dorchester County. I WILL MISS YOU DEARLY.
Take your place with the ANGELS. I know you will walk your new beat ( IN HEAVEN) fully prepared for duty. Please watch over your fellow Officers as we continue to do our job. Deputy Howell, you made the ULTIMATE SACRIFICED. REST IN PEACE FRIEND.

OFFICER SHEILA SANTOS
NORTH CHARLESTON POLICE DEPT.

Corporal Powell patrolled our Resort regularly. I met him a few months ago and had an extended conversation with him. He made quite a positive impression on me that day and I walked away feeling like I had a friend for life. He gave me his business card with his private cell phone number.

We are all fortunate to have such fine individuals putting their lives on the line for us every day. He will be sorely missed. Our condolences go out to his family and Chief Larry Williams and his excellent department.

Jesus,Jesus,Jesus!!!! To the Howell Family know that He is who He says He Is. May God keep you. To my fallen brother, the word "fallen" in this case is being used in the wrong way, we must keep in mind when you were choosen by God to become a law enforcement officer. He placed you in a position of submission/servant to Him and to those citizens whom you protect. Because of that fact my brother, because of your sacrife you have been "risen" to a new assignment. That is what we should keep in our hearts to know that God still has us even when we are not present with man. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God" (Matthew 5:9).

And a special thanks for all that Deputy Howell Jr. did for the badge and his years of service to the badge and community.
