Kara was not only a wonderful person, she was a wonderful friend. I went to school with her from the time she moved to Fallon. We became very good friends throughout our high school years. In our senior year in school we spent many crazy and fun times together. I could not spend a day with her without laughing the whole time. She had the greatest sense of humor and was such a goofball. I think back to our fun times and it saddens me to know that her life was taken so early. But I am so proud to have known her and so proud to have been able to call her my friend. I feel comfort in knowing that through her death others are able to live. I am so proud of you Kara and I will miss you forever. Thank you for your friendship and your service to us all. Love you, Stace

I learned of Kara's passing while attending the Women's Street Survival Seminar in Las Vegas this last week and was very saddened at the news. Even though I didn't know her, we have lost a real Warrior. She gave her all in life, and gave her life to others in death. To her family, my thoughts and prayers are with you and know that the family in blue is there for you always. She is the true meaning of "Heroes live forever." Rest in Peace Kara.
