To the family, friends and fellow officers of Officer Simmons,
Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to you all in this tragedy. Officer Simmons’ bravery will be acknowledged and honored throughout the country and the world. You will be amazed at the outpouring of support and love you will receive while you grieve… from people you don’t know and probably will never meet. Almost a year ago my family lost Detective Keith Dressel -a son, a brother, a husband and a father. The pain will never leave you, but neither will the memories. Take comfort in knowing that Officer Simmons loved you all, and protected you until the very end. We all grieve in the loss of a True Hero.
God bless you.
