I was shocked when I got the news that you had left this earth so soon...... My first thought was to question GOD and wonder why GOD would let somehing happen to a person that was so kind and given to others. Then I remembered that GOD always brings his most noble and faithful servants home with him. So this is not good bye L/Cpl Haynes it is more like Hello! I say that because those who loved you and respected you and knew you even if just over the radio will see u again one day! May GOD bless u Angie and the boys and wrap his everlasting loving arms around ur family! Rest in peace L/cpl Haynes! 10-42!

My thoughts and prayers are with L/Corp Haynes' wife, children, mother, and all the family. I know only too well what ya'all are going through as I've been through the same thing almost 3 years ago (May 16, 2005) when my son (L/Corp Jonathan W. Parker, SCHP) was killed in the line of duty. I am so sorry for the loss of Trooper Haynes--God bless you all and keep you, and may He comfort you daily!

I will always miss that smiling face of yours James. All the good times we had in when the radio room was in Orangeburg. The way you would always come in there on midnight shift and look in the fridge to see what we had brought to eat. I would give anything to have those fun times back. Even when I went to work at Calhoun, you would stop by and see me, asking how Lizzie and Connor were doing and constantly telling me how much she looked like me. Im gonna miss ya! Your boys are precious and your wife is really being strong for them. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers daily.

Love,
Carla
