I first learned of your death through my aunt, whose daughter works with your wife. Word travels and hits home when it involves an officer down, as I hug and kiss my officer before each shift, hoping he'll come home when that shift is over. My heart aches for your wife and sons, which I lift in prayer for God's mercy and added strength during your loss.
Rest in peace, you served your state well..

Heaven gained another angel today,
God called him by name and led him away
You sit together, trying to make sense of the loss
and realize that life comes at a cost
You talk about the good times we've shared and try to smile
Remembering that we're here only for a short while

Rest in Peace Corporal Haynes
