Sir, today I saw your picture for the first time in the stairs of the Police Academy, while going up and down and yelling "make way" all day long. I read how you died and it brought sadness to me. You were sworn to protect and serve, you did what you were supposed to do. Sir, you paid the ultimate price with your life. later on that day while doing endless laps on the gym floor I was very tired and I was about to give up, but just thinking of your tragedy it gave me strenght to continue. Sir, Rest in Peace you will not be forgotten.

Another year goes by and I remember that whole week and the pain we all suffered, the initial night with your mom in the hospital, that long week awaiting for test results and on July 14 coming to the hospital to say good bye to you.

It was a tragedy and you were a very good person. When I see your mother, I see my mother in her. It make's it so difficult to cope with this lose. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I share your parent's anquish in losing a beloved child which is surely life's greatest sorrow.
