Reflections for Detective Russel Timoshenko
Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I share your parent's anquish in losing a beloved child which is surely life's greatest sorrow.

The piece of crap that shot you will never see the light of day again. Seems to me that Dexter Bostic got off a little to easy....they should have done the same thing to him as he did to you. That would be the only justice. I hope you rest in peace, Officer Timoshenko, at least one of the thugs will not be roaming our streets again. God Bless.

Well, the P.O.S Robert Ellis got 15 years. This City, it's people, and it's Judges, best be prepared when all Cops stop giving a sh*t. We took an oath that we are obligated to live by, however we thought we were going to have some support in this sh*tshow. Guess not.
Another disgraceful decision by a liberal, cop hating judge. Tough talk, no walk.
These people couldn't handle a second in our shoes.
RIP Kid.
PS: Herman, if you read this, stop beating yourself up. You did everything any one of us would have done. And you did a damn good job.

Once again, I am leaving a reflection for another fallen Officer. I have just gotten through posting reflections for both Officers Dillon Stewart and Frank Hennessey from my first former pct. And like them, I have never met you personally, as you came to the 71 while I was leaving for my current agency. (I suppose I'm still trying to figure out why I was speared the grief of knowing you guys before these tragic events) What makes this post different, is that I am filled with more frustration than before.
There were three men in that automobile responsible for what happened that night. The jury didn't see it that way. The more I realize that there are people out there that will see a cop killer go free, because they are so far removed from what is going on out there, is the more I come to terms with the types of mentality amongst the crowd that we're protecting. In between the low lifes who will do harm to anyone, because they CAN and the unappreciative yuppies who believe that the less we police is the more that their society will become some sort of Utopia, I just wish we could serve the society who deserves it. But there is no way to tell.
Like I've posted before for my two fallen brethren in the 70, I never knew you personally. We were in the same 71 station house and I'm sure I've passed you at least once before I left. But I am glad to have served in the same station house and have worn the same Uniform.
Rest in Peace and God take you in.

Merry Christmas brother and a Happy New Year in Heaven!! I can't believe, well wait I can believe they let the scum that were involved in your execution walk away. This City sucks! The people here don't care about us! They only want us when they need something. Well we needed them and they let you hang out to dry! We will never forget you and the sacrifices you made for this City. Pray for us bro, you will be missed but never forgotten...

You're up there watching, looking down at the despicable jury that let Robert Ellis off on Murder. Don't you worry, WE will handle it down here. YOU, REST IN PEACE.

Is it too much to ask of the people that we risk our lives protecting to give us justice. How could anyone decide that someone who was in the car with these animals that took Officer Timoshenko's life be not guilty. I hope and pray that these cowards get their justice in the end. God bless the Timoshenko family and the NYPD.

Officer Timoshenko,
God bless you and may you rest in peace.
Mrs. Timoshenko, your son would be so proud of you for standing up to the vermin that took his life. My prayers are with you. In a month I'll be facing the vermin that took my son's life in the line of duty at his prelim. I hope, although I'm not to testify that I have the strength and courage you have to face this animal without loosing my composure. Please know my prayers and thoughts are with you in the days to come and always that your son will get the justice he and you so rightly deserve.
With deepest respect,

The trial of the three suspects is currently underway. Detective Timoshenko's partner has testified, and Detective Timoshenko's parents have summoned up the great courage to attend the trial. We all hope that the true facts, whatever they may be, will emerge, so that Detective Timoshenko will be able to rest in peace.

Your trial is here and your parents sit and listen every day. Although it is hard on them, they listen intently. Now I know why they said you were a good cop. They show the same courage which you had. It had to be passed down from them.

As the trial for Russel's murder begins this week, my heart goes out to his parents who have to relive the darkest day of their lives again. May God bless them and give them enormous strength. I hope his assailants rot in hell because no sentence delivered to them could ever be justice enough.
