Leave a Reflection

Reflections for State Constable Robert Lee Bailey

I've passed through Lincolnville dozens of times as I traveled through Summerville to Ladson to visit my folks and would have never imagined such violence could erupt on the streets of a seemingly quiet little community, but with the recent murder of Constable Robert Lee Bailey, I will never view that town the same. Now, when I pass through Lincolnville I will always reflect back to the night Constable Bailey was shot and killed by a gang of cowards.
My prayers go out to Constable Bailey's family, but I want them to know their father and grandfather was one hundred percent lawman, going way beyond the call of duty by volunteering his time and services. God Bless them all.

I live in Ladson, I followed the story from that Monday morning and have felt sick of how dare anyone do something so bad, without any provocation on top of that. My daughter and her boyfriend who is a Charleston County sherriff and SWAT. I worry and pray for all the men in blue everyday. My heart goes out to his Family and I send them my love and God Bless them thru these times. Good Bless You Constable Bailey, you will be missed.

I can not express words enough to tell you how sorry I am for the loss of Constable Bailey. I can tell you that God watched that moment unfold, and justice will come in the form of earthly justice or heavenly justice, or both. That is for certain. God speed to you Constable Bailey. Thank you for the choice you made 43 years ago, to serve others instead of others serving you. It is a choice that others should express more respect for. I am sorry you were treated that way. God Bless your family, friends and coworkers. Please know that we are praying for you all.

This has truly been a bad year for The Carolinas !

At Roll Call many of the officers who know that I hail from the Lowcountry, asked if there had been any ew developments in Your disappearance.

Later in the day, when the Charleston County Coroner finally announced that DNA had verified Your identity, I sent an Area-Wide message to all of the LAPD folks who had been following this incident, since it had been first reported.

It has been difficult, as I try to refrain from saying/writing anything nasty regarding the people responsible for this horrendous act.

May You Rest - In - Peace......

When I first read this, I was so enraged at the cowardice of whoever did this unspeakable act. To the family of Constable Bailey, my sincerest condolences and my prayers for strength. This was a man who literally gave his life year in and year out for what he believed in or he would not have stayed in law enforcement. He is a hero in our world and his story will not be forgotten.

May those low lifes that took your life rot in the deepest parts of hell, and may you rest in peace my brother. I read your story, and I followed it until they found your body. I pray your family rests, and may god bless them at these times. As for those five things called humans that took your life, may a slow death be before them and may god reach down from the heavens and let you slap them all the way to hell. Rest brother , Rest. You are a true hero.
