Lee, I first came in contact with you when I lived in Walla Walla, Washingtion. You were interested in attending a rendevous we were putting on at the museum I was directing. Over the years we communicated and became Internet friends. You always had great advice, you were a good friend, and you will be missed. You gave the ultimate price through your service in the military and law enforcement. Your life has been to the service of others. My prayers, thoughts and blessings are with your wife and children. Rest in peace. John, Boise, Idaho.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Sgt. Newbill, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

Sadly, our nation has lost another fine officer. My prayers are with the family, friends, and fellow officers of Sgt. Newbill. I understand the pain that is being felt by many, as I received the same call last week. It is such a heartfelt tragedy to have such a life taken so needlessly. You all are my guardian angels, my protectors. Rest in peace my friend, you have served our country well and you are now with two of our finest, Inv. Habelt and Deputy Ogburn. Tell them I miss them greatly.
